1960 Elva 200
Chassis 200-008 was bought new by Carl Hass and hired out to private racers in the US. Both Peter Revson and Mark Donohue were to race her in period. I bought her from Chicago in 2000 and completely rebuilt her, then raced her throughout Europe, including Spa, Nuburgring, Zandvoort, and the 2006 Monaco Historic GP, and Goodwood Revival. We won the FJHRA Class B Championship in 2004 and reserve in 2005.
Sold 2009.
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia 101 Spider
Purchased in 2005 in a sorry state from Belgium, I rebuilt all mechanicals and got Bob Dove to build a super full race engine. Her biggest win was the 2010 Alfa Romeo 100 year anniversary Giulietta Cup at Monza, where she won the FIA feature race for pre 66 Alfa Romeos. Sold 2010
1935 Lagonda Rapier
Purchased in 2008 as a disassembled rolling chassis, I then purchased a historic race body from MacDonalds and fully rebuilt her. She ran in the Great Lagonda Race of 2010 and Angouleme the same year. Sold 2010.
1928 Graham Paige 610 Sedan
I took her in part exchange for the Lagonda in 2010. Allegedly brought to the UK by Danny Wallace (an associate of Al Capone) who was deported and shot in Boston leaving his Graham Paige in Surrey lock-up until 1960. She had done only 23,000 mile. We completed 2 Measham rallies, (winning Spirit of the Rally in 2015), 3 Beamish Runs and a 1,000 mile holiday in Ireland. Featured in the Spey Whisky commercial. Sold 2017.
1922 Fiat 501s Corsa
I purchased her in 2011 from an Australia orchard as a rusty rolling chassis, after stripping her completely we discovered she was a genuine "S" so we did a full nut and bolt rebuild and built a replica works Targa Floria body. She competed in driving tests and the odd hill climb, but in 2015 we were lucky enough to get an entry in the Mille Miglia. What a fantastic experience, we ended 267th out of 450 entries in a 93 year old car with rear cable brakes only! Sold 2016
